Let Him Love You

There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
1 John 4:18

He has taken me to the banquet hall, and his banner over me is love.

Good Morning,
I will keep it brief today, but I just wanted to leave some words of encouragement, especially for those of us who have been debating about doing or producing something. Sometimes we allow our fear to cripple us and to convince us that what we plan to do is unobtainable, unmanageable, or just an imagination. I believe that God, the Creator, gives us creative ideas so that we can bring them to life. But we have to allow His love to drive out the fear so that we can go forward in what He has placed in us to do.

First, we have to believe that He does love us--and He does!
16 I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, 
17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, 
18 may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, 
19 and to know this love that surpasses knowledge-that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. 
 Eph 3:16-19


But then, we have to receive His love and let is cover us. His banner over us is love. He's so bold that He wants to display His love for us to everyone. So, I encourage you to work on the things that the Lord has given you to do. Let His love drive away any fear that may cripple you, and let Him parade His love for you for all to see.

I pray that just from the reading of God's Word in this letter that many writers, artists, ministry leaders, and others are birthed.

Witnesses to the Light

There came a man who was sent from God; his name was John. (7) He came as a witness to testify concerning that light, so that through him all men might believe. (8) He himself was not the light; he came only as a witness to the light. (9) The true light that gives light to every man was coming into the world.

 Hello All,
Being witnesses to the light, I wanted to encourage you all to do something today that will testify of that light to someone who is in darkness. It could something as simple as posting "Jesus loves His people" on Facebook or telling someone about the love of Christ. For those of you who are writers, I encourage you to put in the time and work to complete the writing that God has placed on your hearts. It feels good to know that you have brought someone into the fellowship of the body or at least given someone the option. Let's be light bearers today.

Launch of Energes Editing!

I am so excited! I finally launched my website for my editing company, Energes Editing. I have been waiting and pondering for a long time, but I figured, it's what I'm good at and what I enjoy! So here's a basic breakdown of the business:
  • It is an editing company, serving both Christian fiction and non-fiction writers, that I hope to expand into a publishing and design company in the future.
  • It is founded upon the belief that the saints are charged with the duty of being ministers of reconciliation and that the publication of various literature will aid in that endeavor.
  • One of the scriptures at its core is Hebrews 4:12- For the word of God [is] quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and [is] a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
  • The term, energes, is from the Greek meaning active, effectual, and powerful, as is God's Word.
I'm really looking forward to what will come of this, and I will certainly keep you updated via this blog.
